Information for Contractors: "Running The Job"

As a general contractor, I have always considered that the primary role on my projects was total quality management. A typical residential or light commercial project may involve 20 or more specialty contractors who have to interact with each other within the confined environment of a completion schedule and a budget. Consequently, the general contractor (GC) is the only one that has the "big picture" of the project in mind and at his fingertips. This is just one of the three corners of the management triangle that every GC must control.
